The Writing Center: Books for Breakfast: The Book Club

Thanks to generous support from the Minnetonka Schools Foundation, The Port and The Writing Center are teaming up to start a new program for the MHS community entitled ‘Books For Breakfast’!  B4B will provide a welcoming forum for students to read and discuss a selected high interest young adult title with teachers, staff, and peers.  The goals for the program are to inspire lively conversation around a book’s themes and to promote the pleasure of reading a book for enjoyment and enlightenment.  Book discussions, with breakfast treats and beverages, will be held in the Writing Center during zero hour. The program is entirely optional, and we invite parents to review the selected title alongside their students to encourage dialogue at home and school.  Students can sign up using the Schoology course code 5WNZH-G558F and will get a free copy of the book to keep!
